When you live with a chronic disability your life is filled with moments that are far from enjoyable: doctors, physical therapy sessions, medicines, tests, and many other related moments.
This way of life could easily cause you to become depressed, but I have found something that keeps me going….Soul food. Items that make you happy. My list not only nourishes my body but nourishes my soul. The list is different for everyone, since everyones physical and emotional needs are different.
My Soul Food list looks something like this, a smorgasbord of items that bring joy and contentment to my soul. There are many days that I don’t need to refer to my list and other times I need to gorge myself with as many items as I can scarf down. Soul food can take a really bad day and make it not so bad!
My Soul Food List
